Can Cursor use Salesforce?

Official Salesforce route
Salesforce runs its own hosted MCP servers. They have been generally available since April 29, 2026, so ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients can work with your org's data under each user's existing Salesforce permissions.
- Endpoint:
https://api.salesforce.com/platform/mcp/v1/<server-name>(sandbox:…/v1/sandbox/<server-name>, for exampleplatform/sobject-all) - Sign-in: OAuth through an External Client App that your Salesforce admin creates (scopes
mcp_apiandrefresh_token). Classic Connected Apps aren't supported. - Who can use it: Enterprise Edition orgs and above. An admin has to switch the server on first.
- In the official MCP Registry: No. Salesforce publishes it through its own developer docs, which is why it doesn't appear in Registry-only lists.

How to add Salesforce to Cursor
- Open Cursor Settings → MCP and add a new server, or edit
~/.cursor/mcp.json(or.cursor/mcp.jsonin a project). - Paste the remote URL, or the install config from the server page for a local server.
- Sign in if the server asks, then use it in Agent chat.
Menus change, so check Cursor's MCP docs. Every server page has a copy-paste config for Cursor.
Is it safe to connect Salesforce to Cursor?
The official server is run by Salesforce and acts under each user's existing Salesforce permissions. Community servers are third-party, so check the publisher, the requested scopes and our trust grade before you connect one.
