How to add GitLab to Claude Code
- Remote server: run
claude mcp add --transport http <name> <url>. - Local server: run
claude mcp add <name> -- <command>with the install command from the server page. - Run
/mcpinside Claude Code to sign in.

Is it safe to connect GitLab to Claude Code?
Use the official server run by GitLab. Anything a tool returns is sent to the AI vendor, so use a business plan that doesn't train on your data.
