Yes.ChatGPT has a built-in SharePoint connector made by OpenAI (Settings → Apps). SharePoint itself hasn't published an MCP server we can verify, so third-party SharePoint servers aren't official. Checked 2026-10-18.

How to connect SharePoint to ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, turn on developer mode (Settings → Apps / Connectors → Advanced; on Business, Enterprise and Edu an admin enables it first).
- Add a custom MCP server and paste the server URL from the server page.
- Sign in when asked, then mention the app with @ in a chat.
Full read and write tools are available on Business, Enterprise and Edu. Pro users can connect MCP servers with read/fetch permissions only. ChatGPT supports remote servers (Streamable HTTP or SSE) and doesn't run local servers.
Is it safe to connect SharePoint to ChatGPT?
Check the publisher and trust grade first. Official servers are published by SharePoint itself; community servers come from third parties and can see whatever your account can. Every server page shows its live status, sign-in type and tool list.
